May 2008 upon finishing a large mural commission and inspired and encouraged by my good friend Annette, I bolted headlong into a painting a day commitment complete with blog, gesturing philodendrons and two cats willing to pose as long as the pose involved starring or reclining. Within a few weeks the one painting per day goal had been converted to "painting every day" and within a few months all but hints at the presence of the cats had disappeared from the canvas. I began to miss the texture paint and the freedom of non-objectivity. This section of paintings is the work I did from May through October of 2008.
